The Macleay Valley located at the northern end of the Mid North Coast
is a truly unspoilt area boasting a temperate climate.

The area offers deserted beaches, beautiful forests, heritage listed
villages, gracious old buildings and picture perfect views.

Over 80% of the areas coastline is protected - allowing visitors
to discover the area in it
s natural state. Try the Werrikembe or
the Hat Head National Parks or secluded beach fishing and surfing
at Crescent Head, Hat Head, South West Rocks, Stuarts Point
or Grassy Head.
At the heart of the Macleay is the major township of Kempsey
which is edged in the west by the magnificent Great Dividing Range
and in the east by endless stretches of sandy beaches and coastline.

The Macleay Valley is the home to the Australian icon - the Akubra Hat
and is the birthplace and home to some of the country's most notable
sporting, country music and indigenous personalities.
