The Manning Valley, with Taree as it's main business centre,
is a river and rainforest coast located just under a three hour drive
north of Sydney. The Manning Valley offers a breathtaking
combination of rivers, mountains, forests and beaches, taking in more
than 26 seaside and hinterland towns and villages that are a haven
for nature and adventure activities. Four national parks, rare subtropical
floodplain rainforests, 150km of river, rare species of flora and fauna,
one of the largest single drop waterfalls in the southern hemisphere
and some fantastic and unspoilt stretches of coastline makes
the Manning Valley a great wind down after leaving the city areas.

The city of Taree is the home to an exciting yearlong calendar of sporting
and cultural events including Craftathon (January), Manning Beef Week
(April-May), Manning Powerboat Racing & Aquatic Festival (Easter long weekend),
the Non Conventional Homes Tour (June long weekend)
and Flair Fashion Awards (August).
